Job Description

SUMMARY:

PRGX is seeing a dynamic leader as its Vice President, Contract Optimization with a deep expertise in procurement, sourcing, and contracting within the information technology spend category. This position will provide expertise as a subject matter expert in information technology, providing market intelligence, innovative solutions, and broad business input within the information technology category. This position will partner with our clients to structure sourcing processes that satisfy business requirements of reducing overall risk and cost, driving increased value, while maintaining quality.

The position requires a strong understanding of how information technology products and services are sourced, procured, priced, and contracted. The position must have a track record of optimizing/reducing information spend and negotiating improved contractual terms in all areas of information technology including, but not limited to license agreements, infrastructure (cloud and on premises), telecommunication, and asset rationalization. The primary objective of the position is to assist our clients in reducing information technology spend and optimizing contractual relationships with their suppliers.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Understand client needs and develop information technology category assessments with the goal of identifying cost savings opportunities for our clients.

· Using client-specific data and market insights, recommend opportunities for improvements to our clients.

· Work collaboratively with suppliers and clients to identify and implement cost and performance improvement opportunities.

· Implement category strategies at varying spend levels, complexity, and strategic importance to our clients to optimize business efficiency and drive maximum value.

· Maintain deep understanding of global supply markets, product innovations, and suppliers.

· Lead multiple projects that deliver value through optimizing contractual terms.

· Create frameworks, tools, systems, and methodologies that are effective and scalable and that result in the delivery of value to our clients.

· Partner with internal stakeholders to identify, propose, and close new projects with clients.

· Establish best practice benchmarks using data from valid internal and/or external sources and leverage these benchmarks to provide value to our clients.

· Leverage data to provide analysis and insights that are valuable to our clients.

· Lead team of subject matter experts.

Skills & Requirements

WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field required.

· Deep understanding of the information technology market landscape.

· 15 or more years’ experience in the procurement of information technology products and services for clients.

· Preference given to candidates with experience building a practice.

· Experience working with or serving Fortune 500 companies.

· Strong relationships with key providers of information technology products and services.

· Strong understanding of the technology and infrastructure supplier ecosystem.

· Proven track record of collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement cost reductions.

· Proven track record of utilizing technology (preferably artificial intelligence) to drive efficiency, repeatability and scalability in processes.

· Data driven individual with an attention to detail.

· Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with stakeholders at all levels.

· Ability to leverage expertise across client organizations to drive value.

· Natural sense of urgency.
