Responsible for high quality, bug-free development as per the coding standards in close collaboration and interaction with other members of the development/QA team.
Ensure adherence to the technical standards.
Help the project team to resolve technical issues.
Perform design reviews.
Participate in technical design phase to identify, resolve and document technical design alternatives and issues.
Produce robust technical documentation.
Incorporate project manager’s and/or content owners’ recommended modifications into technical approaches.
Grow a good understanding of the core businesses the software supports.
Perform code reviews and make sure the coding standards are followed.
Assist with the preparation and presentation of technical designs to internal and external customers.
Responsible for maintaining development artifacts.
Participate in daily project scrum meetings and provide daily personal status report.
Create user documentation for completed solutions.
Work with support team to resolve production support issues.
Mentor the junior developers and help building knowledge base.
Participate in peer reviews.
Assist with technical documentation.
Consult with QA staff on strategies for testing specific work items.
Other duties as deemed necessary by management.
Contribute to the success of the organization by helping others accomplish job results; learning new skills needed by the team; finding new ways to help the team.
Skills & Requirements
Excellent communication skills
Self-motivated and directed – independent worker with effective in prioritization and multi-tasking
Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
Experience in working with MS SQL server and/or HBASE with Java applications
Minimum 2+ years of experience in Agile (Scrum) Methodologies
Technology, architecture and devops certifications would be a plus
Understanding of SDLC
4+ years of experience in Java Technologies
3+ years of experience in creating API (Rest / Soap/ Jason / Xml)
3+ years of experience with source control principles and systems like GitHub, SVN, TFS
Hands on expertise on core Java, Java spring boot, spring framework, Java servlet, Restful services and OOP concept
3+ years of experience with solid and clean code principles and code quality / analysis tools like PMD, FindBugs, CheckStyle, SonarQube etc
4+ years of experience in code-based unit testing and tooling frame works like JUnit, TestNG etc
2+ years of experience in requirement management tool like Jira, TFS
2+ years of experience with Bigdata with Java applications
2+ years of experience in Agile (Scrum) Methodologies
1+ years of experience in shell scripting
3+ years of experience in Internet/Web technologies and languages including Java Script, Angular JS, JQuery, CSS and HTML
1+ years of experience in Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployments and Test Automation, Maven build
Good to have experience in any cloud base tool like Azure or AWS
Communication skills: - Advanced level of communication skill required, so that he/she can communicate with onsite stake holders and multi-geo located client business implementations
Issue Ownership and Resolution: - Advanced level of skills with initiative to take ownership for the existing issues and to find a resolution
